Aim

To create a multi-conforming conflict resolving system for cases of rejected work. There are multiple factors which will improve the decision making in the system. The system gives the power of decision making in the hands of the workers too.

Example

  1. Worker 1 submits a batch of results to a requester
  2. Requester rejects the work and sends a feedback explaining why the work was rejected
  3. Now, the rejected work is in a 'locked' and 'open' state. 'Locked' implies that the requester cannot simply remove or hide the work from the system, and 'open' implies that the work is available for other workers in the market. If the work gets successfully completed by another worker, the requester must pay the entire wage to the latter worker. This deters the requester from misusing his power to reject work as he cannot misuse it to get his work done for free
  4. The work is also labelled, so that other workers can know that the work has been rejected once.

Situation 1

  1. Worker 2 is assigned the work and he satisfactorily completes the work. The results of these accepted HITs, which were rejected in the case of worker 1, are forwarded to worker 1 for scrutiny.
  2. If worker 1 is satisfied by the reasons explained for his/her rejection after comparing his/her work with that of worker 2, the conflict is resolved without the intervention of the support system.

Situation 2

  1. Worker 2 is assigned the work and he satisfactorily completes the work. The results of these accepted HITs, which were rejected in the case of worker 1, are forwarded to worker 1 for scrutiny.
  2. If the worker 1 is not satisfied by the reasons, he may forward the issue to the support system.
  3. The support system will then resolve the issue and their result will be final.
  4. In case, the worker 1 was unjustly rejected, then the requester must pay not only the wage of the HITs, but also a fine to worker 1. Here, the requester loses more than double the money since he/she had already paid worker 2 also
  5. In case, worker 1's rejection was justified, he/she will be penalized.

Situation 3

  1. Worker 2 is assigned the work but is also rejected.
  2. The work is removed from the 'locked' and 'open' state and the requester can remove or hide the work, at his/her discretion.
  3. In case both worker 1 and worker 2 are unhappy with their feedback, they can complain to the support system together to build a stronger case against the requester
