Reputation System Ideas Summary

This page is a list of submissions to the reputation system summer milestone 11. Each idea is titled with the Slack username of the contributor described in a couple sentences with a link to the original submission. To see the original Meteor page for this milestone, please go here.

When Meteor usernames are different from Slack names, the Meteor username is used in parentheses followed by the Slack name when possible.

Crowdsource the generation of scores for workers and requesters by having workers assign ratings to anonymized interactions. The rating task could also serve as a platform-wide milestone 0 for workers.

To generate scores, use some combination of: information from other platforms, a referral system, an exam/badge system, and an algorithmic approach. These would be used in conjunction with an incubator space with lower paying tasks but better feedback when tasks are not done correctly.

The client is incentivized to provide reputation during the prototype task or job application evaluation phase to those he will hire + x number of unhired but promising workers, and after job completion (all hired workers). The beauty of this reputation idea is that greatly increases reputation coverage (number of workers with reputation in the platform) regardless of the quantity of hired workers in any given project.

Workers are incentivized to assess their peers' work and give them reputation. This also greatly increases reputation coverage (number of workers with reputation in the platform).
