== Introduction ==

Crowdsourcing platforms, and large, content-based, platforms, have always been growing in popularity. However, retention still remains a problem that these platforms aim to solve, especially since the goal is to be able to provide a steady source of income to workers with these platforms. A key theme in keeping retaining workers is having some form of open governance; some way that the workers can adjust their circumstances to best suit them. One idea that could be employed is random peer-to-peer task feedback and petitioning. 

Say a worker finished a task. Now, instead of sending the requester the completed task directly, it makes sense to have other people review it. So, when submitting the task, the worker will be randomly matched with another worker who also has a completed task, and the two workers will critique each other's work. 

This idea can also be employed in creating an environment that the worker would like to work in. If a worker has an idea for managing the tasks better, the worker will be randomly matched with workers under the same requester in order to get at least 3 other workers to sign off on their idea before it appears as a suggestion on the requester's dashboard, and at least 5 other workers to sign off on their idea before it appears as a suggestion for the platform's developers.

In order to test this concept,  10 new users to Amazon MechanicalTurk will be contacted to use Daemo to complete tasks for one requester. Out of these 10, 5 will use the platform as is, and will serve as the control group, while the rest will be subjected to the new method of feedback and open governance. The quality of the task and the number of tasks completed will be used to see if the concept does promote retention. Due to managers adopting principles of more people based management, as used by Ignition(http://www.ignitiongroup.com/guide/how-to-take-a-strengths-based-approach-to-managing-people/), and the increased quality of work and productivity seen by using The Lean Startup's validated learning(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwlRxZJuWTY), this method of open governance and feedback should increase quality and retention in Daemo.
